About

My interest is in the autonomy of people, all who travel through the comprising institutions that make up our society—including the legal, health, political, and education systems.

While I am a first-generation college graduate, this was not an accidental breakthrough.

For me, educators who were motivating, supportive, and skilled at connecting people to opportunities for growth were instrumental to my success. Consequently, having experienced the best that good educators brought out of me, I decided to become one myself.

In 2024, I earned my Master of Education in Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, and Counselor Education from the University of Maryland. While previously studying, I advised Terps majoring in the biological sciences for two years at the College of CMNS as a Graduate Assistant. Now I advise Biology Terps as a full-time Academic Advisor for the Biological Sciences [BSCI] Undergraduate Program.

In my spare time I enjoy

Reading philosophical books, watching the X-Files on DVD, hugging and playing with Donatella (my cat), composite portraiture, playing puzzles from the New York Times (Terps have FREE access to the NYT!), visiting DMV art galleries/museums/and thrift stores, low-maintenance cooking with minimal dish-washing, collecting music on CDs, enjoying rooftop views of DC when given the opportunity, listening to classical music, the occasional lunch/dinner outing, being generally knowledgeable about the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games.
