About

My mission is to deliver academic programs with assets and services that facilitate and honor student autonomy, self-efficacy, and personal/professional insight. I’m similarly invested in supporting my colleagues through consultation about advising best practices, and coming together to deliver projects that have lasting impact on the efficiency of academic programs.

Bigger challenges in Higher Education that are my primary interest would include the disruption of learned helplessness in the student body, streamlining communications in student services, and holding both students and colleagues accountable for their roles within the college system according to standards that comply with university policy and that are grounded in evidence-based practice.

Education

Master of Education, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, and Counselor Education —University of Maryland (2024)

Bachelor of Science, Sociology — Virginia Tech (2022)

  • Secondary major in Criminology

  • Minor in Adaptive Brain and Behavior

In my spare time I enjoy

Reading philosophical books and articles, watching the X-Files on DVD, amateur portraiture and graphic design, DMV art galleries and museums, the occasional dinner outing, and being generally knowledgeable about the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games.
