BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES OPPORTUNITY PORTAL (BSOP)
—is a centralized database where Biological Sciences students can find and explore research, internship, and scholarship opportunities in the Biological Sciences both at Maryland and BEYOND.
How does it work?
BSOP uses a feature called Status to signal whenever the application window for a given opportunity is LIVE 🔴, meaning students can go ahead and prioritize applying to opportunities such as extracurricular research, summer research fellowships, and other programs that are actively recruiting students.
BSOP also maintains an ARCHIVED🗃️ record of extracurricular experiences that may become available to students in another semester, or that they can express interest in via Cold Email.
COMING SOON🕰️ will indicate opportunities with application windows that are soon to be LIVE. Students are encouraged to further read about opportunities marked as CHECK WEBSITE 🌐 OR ARCHIVED🗃️ using the hyperlinks included with each database listing.
