BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES OPPORTUNITY PORTAL (BSOP)

Is a database where students can find research, internship, and scholarship opportunities in the Biological Sciences both at UMD and beyond.

BSOP is accessible by mobile device, but for the best explorer experience, use a laptop or desktop computer.

How does it work?

BSOP uses a feature called Status to broadcast when the application window for an opportunity is LIVE 🔴, meaning students can go ahead and prioritize applying to experiences such as internships, summer research fellowships, and other programs that are actively recruiting students.

BSOP also maintains an ARCHIVED🗃️ record of opportunities that may become available to students in another semester, or that they can express interest in via cold email.

COMING SOON🕰️ indicates opportunities with application windows that are soon to be made LIVE 🔴. Students are encouraged to do deeper reading for opportunities marked as CHECK WEBSITE 🌐 or ARCHIVED🗃️ using the hyperlinks included with each listing to assess their eligibility and other expectations for admission.

* SELECT (not all) opportunities are posted to story. Check BSOP periodically for ever-changing updates.

Great partners power LIVE opportunities
